I was born and raised in West Virginia on a family farm, where I learned the beauty and hard work that goes into producing food. In my studies at West Virginia University, I learned how food systems intersect with social justice, environmental sustainability, and community. After graduating I worked at a vegetable farm in Morgantown, WV, before moving to Denver for a year of service as an Americorps VISTA. My passion for building community and a reciprocal relationship with Earth led me to Metro Caring. I find joy in spending time with nature, crocheting, and sharing a meal or a laugh with loved ones.
