I’m a Colorado native and was a single mom until my daughter graduated from college. Being a single mom since my daughter was nine years old made a profound impact on both of our lives. I have been drawn to the nonprofit field to honor and continue the generosity and compassion my maternal grandmother and grandfather had for everyone in their lives. They were role models who demonstrated daily the power of kindness in their community. The work and resources Metro Caring provides the community are humbling and the vision we have for the generations coming behind us is inspiring. I’m motivated to work hard to ensure everyone has access to quality food and we can finally extinguish food scarcity in our community.
