Born in Pittsburgh, I grew up in the Piedmont of South Carolina, finished high school outside of Baltimore, attended college in Chicago, moved to Seattle and then Los Angeles before settling in Denver in 2020. Food scarcity, housing insecurity, and poverty are not unique to any of the cities that I have loved, and these systemic problems have only grown over time. Metro Caring's creative vision for ending these interrelated injustices can forge local solutions Denver that will become blueprints for addressing these issues around the globe.
