My Metro Caring journey began on a small farm on the east side of Denver. After about a year on the farm, I joined the staff as a volunteer coordinator to combine my passions for food access and community empowerment. Farming will always be near and dear to my heart, but I love connecting with community members about food. I believe food is a foundational human experience that brings people together in a unique and powerful way.

When I am not at Metro Caring, you can find me in the kitchen cooking a meal with friends or baking bread. I also like to spend as much time as possible exploring the mountains. I am originally from a small town outside of Detroit, Michigan – on Potawatomi and Ojibwe land – that was hardly above sea level; since moving to Colorado in 2020, the mountains continue to amaze me.
