WIC Appointments Onsite

A WIC counselor will be available at Metro Caring every Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm.

What is WIC?

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides nutritious foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. Those who have children under age five in their household are also eligible for services (i.e. dads, grandparents, foster families, other caregivers)

What is required of participants?

Anyone coming for a WIC appointment needs to provide a proof of ID (Driver’s License, Medicaid card, CO ID card, passport, birth certificate, SSC, work/school/military ID). Appointments can range from 15 mins to an hour+ depending on where they are in their certification cycle and how many family members are applying.
