I was born in Denver and raised in nearby Arvada. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Colorado State University along with a master’s degree in Community Nutrition. I became a dietitian because I’ve seen the impact food-related illnesses have on a community. I have trouble selecting one favorite food, but my ideal feast would likely include lasagna, sweet potato masala, hummus and pita, azeri plov, an epic salad, Hawaiian pizza, enchiladas and dark chocolate brownies – but maybe not all at once. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and community, reading, hiking and the outdoors.
