I grew up in rural Oregon, outside of Portland, and found my way to Colorado in 2012. I have bachelor’s degrees in Spanish Language, and English Linguistics, along with a master’s in Teaching. But I’m most proud of being voted “most friendly” my senior year of high school. I most love Metro Caring because for us, it might start with food but it certainly doesn’t end there. The love and camaraderie in our spaces are tangible, actionable and hold the potential to drive positive transformational change in our city. Two of my favorite things to do are laughing and learning new things – preferably with a buddy – along with snuggling my rescue cat, Billiebeet (Billie for short).
