I hail from Denver, born to Palestinian refugee parents, and lived part of my childhood in Zarqa, Jordan and also moved around the U.S. quite a bit. I got my bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Political Science & International Studies with minors in Peace & Reconciliation and International Development. I recently served three years in southern Morocco with the Peace Corps, where I worked primarily with underserved populations teaching Arabic and English literacy, collaborated with multiple NGOs geared toward capacity building in women, and mastering the art of smiling while consuming camel brains. In my spare time I'm an avid reader, watercolor enthusiast, mediocre pianist and dead plant revivalist.
